What made you join Orange Shoe Gym?
When I found Orange Shoe Gym, I had no idea how out of shape I really was. I was attracted by the notion of functional fitness and that I didn't want a room full of machines with rows of people each plugged into their own set of headphones. I'd bailed out of that scene a few times in the last few years. I was ready for a more interactive exercise environment.

Tell us about the program you followed. 
I started a personal training session that targeted the areas that needed work. Our training sessions have involved a wide variety of activities to build strength, flexibility, balance and cardio endurance. It's difficult to explain the amazing experience of having a trainer, someone completely dedicated to helping you achieve your goals, cheering you on the whole way. Some sessions were tough, but there was no way to quit with my trainer in it with me. Their commitment helped me keep my own.

What has your success been in achieving your goals?
My goals were to get strong and fit enough to be able to thrive in whatever it is I choose to do. I also wanted to be able to reduce the amount of blood pressure medicine I was taking and lose some weight. After 5 1/2 months, I cut my blood pressure medication in half. I've been eating better and my most recent lipid panel was stellar. My clothes fit better I move differently and friends and family comment regularly on how fit I look. The biggest surprise though, has been how much better I feel, proving that the Orange Shoe fitness program is about being fit at all levels.
