Attention Endurance Athletes! What are you doing this winter to improve your training and racing next summer?!?! Join USAT coach, personal trainer and triathlete Lauren Birkel in this 16 week program that will increase your core stability and balance to make your more efficient, build strength to keep you going strong over the long haul, increase your power to keep you charging up those hills and help you stay injury free in 2010. The program starts with two Individual Personal Training sessions to assess your movements and establish your specific goals. These two sessions must be completed before the start of the Small Group Personal Training for Triathletes series on January 4, 2010. The Small Group Personal Training for Triathletes program spans 16 weeks with 3 workouts each week - 48 total workouts. Weeks 1-4 will focus on challenging your stabilization, weeks 5-8 will focus on building your strength, weeks 9-12 will focus on power and weeks 13-16 will put it all together adding in a component of cardiovascular fitness to make sure you are ready to use all your gains from earlier weeks as you swim, bike and run. Sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6:00am at Orange Shoe'’s Downtown location on the Capitol Square (1 East Main Street, right below Starbucks at the Ironman Finish area). Underground parking is available in our building and we take care of the fees! Full service shower and locker rooms are available so you can get out the door and on with your day. Recess
Remember how much fun recess was as a kid? This dynamic cardiovascular class focuses on improving your body's balance, agility and function while boosting endurance, burning fat and tightening up. Each and every session is different, leaving you intrigued as to what will come next. You'll find yourself staring at the clock and counting down the minutes until you get to go to Recess. All fitness levels are welcome.
Push n' Pull
Build strength, gain power and tone muscle by using resistance tubes, medicine balls and your own body weight. This challenging and ever-changing session will help you develop functional strength to shape your body while making it easier to do everything from lifting your kid out of the car to helping your friend move to hitting that golf ball down the fairway. All fitness levels are welcome.
